Learning and growing together

Workshops, Training and Class offerings

  • Workshops and Groups

I periodically offer group workshops focused on mindfulness and somatic oriented trauma support. I am working on some offerings for Fall and Winter of 2023. Contact me with questions.

Private, Family and Couples Somatic Mindfulness Practice:

My private practice offers a rich opportunity to discover how somatic movement and mindfulness can support your healing and wellness. Couples, families and individuals can benefit from this cultivation of self-awareness about relationship dynamics and the informative power of the mind/body connection. I’m motivated by neurobiological and the Nervous System and caring for it through this whole body approach.

  • Trainings

With over two decades of experience teaching and training, I enjoy the richness of gathering with other professionals dedicated to health and healing to expand our understanding of the human experience. The intersections of trauma-informed care and a mindfulness oriented framework guide my approach to ethics, decolonization and a more vibrant holistic approach to healthcare.

I have offered trainings through the Lewis & Clark College Center for Community Engagement, Tara Sanderson & Associates supervision training, and others.

Stay tuned for more workshops and certification courses currently being curated and scheduled for 2024.

If you are interested in discussing training opportunities, please reach out. I look forward to collaborating with you!

  • Classes

    Movement Classes:

I have been teaching yoga classes since 2003. Acknowledging the cultural appropriation of yoga as a white woman has led me to consider how somatic and mindful contemplation can be decolonized and integrated into a whole being practice. This is my approach to teaching and offering somatic practices that are rooted in my yoga trainings. I acknowledge with humility that I am learning each day the ways I contribute to systemic appropriation and my responsibility to remain active and vigilant in understanding the ways my lineage has benefited from colonization.

My classes offer students a path towards clarity, and wellness through the integration of mind and body. I skillfully blend the physical (movement) practice with breathwork and mindful meditation. Mindfulness is the process of developing self-awareness by slowing down and experiencing how the body, emotions and mind feel. By being in relationship with the sensations of the body, we can learn to have a comprehensive understanding of the present, relax, calm down the mind, and shift emotions. It is my goal as a teacher to help you feel joy and peace in your relationship with your self and your yoga practice.

My training in mental health, and apprenticeship with yoga teachers throughout the past two decades has proven transformational in my personal yoga and mindfulness practice.

Recently, I completed the 55hour Mental Health and Wellness module through Yoga Medicine. See my article for insights on how yoga and meditation impacts how I practice and support others. https://yogamedicine.com/insights-and-professional-expansion-a-students-perspective-of-the-yoga-medicine-mental-health-and-wellness-training/

I am not currently teaching ongoing movement classes. Please contact me for information about private or small group classes.

I pursue ongoing trainings and certifications that support my work with yoga/movement as well as somatic oriented psychotherapy.
